Snow, Snow, Snow

Snow it seems is almost all we've seen here on Petticoat Lane in a while.

As much as we love that white stuff we're ready to see it move on, and see the bright colors of Spring show their heads.  There isn't much that can compare to seeing Nan's flowers she has worked so hard on for years poking their little heads out to let us know Spring is here.

Yesterday we took Nan out to see the snow around Farmers, and Cave Run Lake.
We went on to Mt Sterling for breakfast at Cracker Barrel.
It was delicious!  The coffee warmed us right up.
Nan told us stories of long ago, and people who have passed on.
What a great day we had.

Praise Rock

Thanks Mom for the Prasie Rock, it will always be special.
Luke 19:40 And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace (praise), the stones would immediately cry out.

Christmas & Family

Wow! what a whirl wind. Christmas has come and gone. The results are every where. Today I have been working on a path thur my house finding new homes for new things and restoring old things to their original homes. Christmas was great, a good time was had by all. We are definitely blessed. Ate way to much, took lots of pictures. Lots of reminiscing, missing love ones that have passed on and enjoying those that are here.

Tuesday before Christmas and down on the Lane.....

Today is busy busy here on the Lane.
Nan and Mom have gone to do some last minute shopping while I slave here at home still on the baking spree.  Ok, so maybe I didn't "slave" all morning.  I have got some accomplished.
More truffles, this afternoon I plan to whip up some homemade caramel corn, yummy!!
I went this morning for a little pampering, getting my hair and eyebrows done.
I met up and had lunch with my bestie.
Barry is delivering mail, Keith is working.
Dave is in cleaning mode and decided on this cool day he would clean out the shed.
Josh is waiting on the arrival of Aunt Barb.  Hopefully today she could make it out.
They were lucky and LOTS of snow.

Hope you all are well on your way to Christmas as well.
Are you ready yet??

Happy Thanksgiving!!

The movement and rambling through the house has already started on Petticoat Lane.
We are up mixing, cooking, baking and preparing for the Thanksgiving Feast.
We are Thankful for another year around the table with family and friends.
We wish all our family could be here with us and they are, at least in our hearts.
Phone calls across the country will start soon to loved ones to see how they are progressing today,
to tell them how much we love them, are blessed by them and wish we were all together.
We love you all and hope you have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!!
